Bundesliga Matchday 14 Roundup
Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Bosz is still fighting for his job after his side could only draw on Matchday 14. Bayern Munich did enough, while Hoffenheim won big and Cologne drew.
Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Borussia Dortmund
Maximilian Philipp's early injury, which forced him to be stretchered off, characterized another difficult game for Dortmund but they managed to come away with a point.
Bayern Munich 3-1 Hannover
Hannover gave Bayern a scare but Kingsley Coman (pictured) popped up with the second-half clincher as the champions quickly got over last weekend's reverse at Borussia Mönchengladbach. Robert Lewandowski added a third from the spot late on.
Schalke 2-2 Cologne
Cologne striker Sehrou Guirassy (pictured) managed to fashion a finish from close range to help the bottom side fight back from going a goal down. He did it again from the penalty spot later in the second half but it couldn't save coach Peter Stöger's job.
Hoffenheim 4-0 RB Leipzig
Nadiem Amiri (pictured) coolly finished off a fantastic counterattack from Hoffenheim after just 13 minutes. The slick move summed up Hoffenheim's extraordinary day as Leipzig crumbled away from home.
Werder Bremen 1-0 Stuttgart
Max Kruse (pictured) sealed the win just before the break thanks to good work from Fin Bartels as Bremen showed more signs of life at the bottom of the table.
Hertha Berlin 1-2 Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin-Prince Boateng (pictured center) curled in the winner but refused to celebrate at his boyhood side. The game had been drifting to a 1-1 draw before Boateng struck 10 minutes from time.
Wolfsburg 3-0 Borussia Mönchengladbach
Yunus Malli netted a fine early goal from Mario Gomez's assist and then his delightful pass set up Daniel Didavi for the second. Malli has struggled since moving from Mainz but his match-winning contribution helped the hosts up to 11th.
Mainz 1-3 Augsburg
Michael Gregoritsch (right) is congratulated after his 22nd minute opener set Augsburg on their way to a deserved and confident victory at Mainz.
Freiburg 0-0 Hamburg
It was cold, but it was no excuse. The display from the two sides was so disappointing given how well they both played last weekend. The hosts stay in the relegation playoff spot, two points adrift of the visitors.
