Cypriot ghost town in a time warp

Before the division of Cyprus, Varosha was a booming tourist resort. But in 1974 the town was conquered by Turkish troops and fenced off completely – a ghost town stuck in a time warp. Now, a team of architects, urban planners, business leaders and peace activists hope to rebuild the entire town as a modern ecocity – despite the resort remaining off limits.
