Cyprus banks on tourism to fill its empty coffers

The Cyprus government is looking at how tourism can spearhead the country’s effort to restart its economy. The country is struggling to rally from the austerity inflicted by an international financial bailout last month, which saw the closure of its second biggest bank and a massive reduction in the offshore financial sector.
