Debate over Guantanamo divides Americans and leaves many detainees in legal limbo

President Obama has reportedly named a new special envoy for the closure of the Guantanamo detention facitly. The post had been vacant after the administration's plans to close the facilty stalled amidst Congressional criticism. More than half of the current 166 detainees in Guantanamo have entered a hunger-strike against their conditions of captivity.
