EU ban on illegal wood saves Vietnam's post-war trees

Illegal loggers are ripping through Vietnam's forests at a dizzying pace. The wood they harvest is turned into tables, chairs, floorboards and picture frames that are then sold in Western countries. But, in March of this year, the European Union passed new regulations requiring importers of timber and wood products to ensure their wood is sourced legally and sustainably. Is it working?
