Cologne goat mascot's new partner, kids
July 14, 2017FC Cologne soccer club shared images of its mascot Hennes with its new partner on Thursday. After the death this January of Anneliese, a goat Hennes spent time with at his home at Cologne's zoo, officials had tried introducing several new suitors to Hennes' enclosure.
Eventually, Cologne's horniest fan found his match in a white goat who is now known as Anneliese II.
"Hennes VIII has a new partner: Anneliese II has moved in to the little billy goats' home at the Cologne Zoo with her kids," the club wrote on Twitter.
The club has had a goat named Hennes - after famed coach Hennes Weisweiler - as its official mascot ever since 1950. The original lucky charm of a club now affectionately nicknamed the Billy Goats had an impressive 16-year stint on the sidelines. Hennes VIII has been in the job since 2008.
