Germany said Friday it would again issue export guarantees for business with Libya, after the North African country agreed to make compensation payments to the victims of the 1986 bombing of a Berlin discotheque. "There are good business opportunities for German companies in Libya, which they can know take even greater advantage of with export guarantees," Economics and Labor Minister Wolfgang Clement said in a statement. The German business associations BDI and DIHK welcomed the resumption of issuing the guarantees, which had been suspended for 18 years.
