Hanoi bicycles

Bicycles were once a much sought-after commodity in Hanoi, but rapid economic development soon meant they were overtaken by motorbikes and cars. Recently, however, there has been a pedal-pushing renaissance. With more travel overseas and a desire to keep fit, many wealthier Hanoians are spending thousands of dollars on imported bikes. Marianne Brown reports from the capital.
