Heavy Lifting - Special cranes in East and West

Cranes were one of East Germany’s major exports. After reunification, the Kranunion company expanded into the western city of Bremen - a success story all around.

Wolfgang Melzer is head of sales for Kranunion. Because 80 percent of its product is exported, that means a lot of travel. The company has continued to thrive over the past 25 years. Today it has subsidiaries in various countries, among them the US, Brazil, Vietnam, and Russia.
