Pope Benedict releases 2nd encyclical (with expert interview) - je 30.11.2007 18

Pope Benedict has just released the second encyclical of his papacy, entitled "In Hope we are Saved". In the document, Benedict urges Christians to put their hope for the future in God and not in wealth, technology or ideologies. The pontiff also attacked atheistic ideologies, saying history had proven them wrong. He focused especially on Marxism, saying it had left behind what he called a "trail of appalling destruction".
