This year's Berlinale will rock. Quite literally. From the Rolling Stones to Patti Smith and Madonna, rock stars will be joining film celebrities on the red carpet. That's because the 2008 theme music is, so to speak, a 40 year old hit: the festival is commemorating the social and cultural upheaval of 1968. It will show 384 films in over 1200 screenings, of which 21 are in competition -- 15 of them world premiers. Tickets are going as quickly as the organizers issue them, starting with those for the opening picture, an hommage to the bad boy icons of late 60s rock.
